Since the time of its opening in 1965, Sweeny Community Hospital has continued to grow and expand its services offered to the West of the Brazos Community, while keeping true to the traditions that helped to found the hospital district. Sweeny Community Hospital is a 24-hour critical access hospital providing both inpatient and outpatient healthcare services. Licensed for 20 inpatient beds, Sweeny Community Hospital serves as a Level IV Trauma Center, hosts The Fountains Assisted Living Center, has a dedicated surgical suite, and over a dozen outpatient clinical services.
The West Columbia Health Clinic Family Practice will open its doors on September 1. Opened by Sweeny Community Hospital, the clinic will serve patients 6 months old and older. Click here for more information.

Sweeny Community Hospital offers free interpretation services around the clock for patients who are unable to speak, write and/or understand the English language at a level sufficient enough to permit effective communication with the health care professionals at our various departments.
