Skills/Duties:

  • Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN, PA, of Physician

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.  Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Texas.  2 years' experience.  Current BLS, ACLS and PALS

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or Equivalent.  Two years' experience in healthcare, registration or PBX operations and dealing with the public is preferred.

Position: Resident Care Attendant - The Fountains

Shift: Full-Time (2), Weekends 7am - 7pm, PRN

Education: High School Diploma or GED Required.  Valid Texas Drivers License with an acceptable record.  Must obtain and maintain BLS, CPR and AED training.

Skills/Duties:

  • At least one year of experience working with the elderly in a residential setting
  • Passion for working with seniors

Experience: Prior work experience in the Institutional or Commecial food service area.  Food handler's certificate.  Must meet all local and state requirements regarding food handling.

  • Prepare and cook food for residents and guest

​Position: Medical Records Coder/Transcription

Status: PRN

Education:​ Registered Health Information Technician.  Certified coding specialist and experience in a medical records department preferred.

Skills/Duties:

  • Codes all patient records using ICD-CM, current version and CPT when indicated.  Enters codes into the computer and assures abstract contains correct information
  • Processes requests for information according to procedure, analyzing the request for appropriate consent for release, computing appropriate fee for copies.  Protects the privileged contents of the medical records and other confidential information obtained in performing these tasks, duties and responsibilities by adhering strictly to the release of information policies of the hospital
  • Transcribes and types medical reports such as discharge summaries, operative reports, history and physicals, progress notes, consultation reports and similar medical reports from recorded dictation
  • Scans completed medical records into document management system

Position: Scrub Technician

Status: Part-Time

Experience:​ Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or TX LVN License.  Certified in surgical technology preferred (CST OR CORT).  Minimum 1 year experience

Status: Part-Time

Education: Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field.  Professionally licensed by the State of Texas (LPC-I, LPC, LMFT, LMSW). At least one year experience working in Mental Health setting.

Skills/Duties:

  • Therapist will perform timely processing of inquiry/referral calls and walk in scheduled comprehensive clinical assessments including the history of presenting illness, family dynamics and supporting psychosocial information to determine eligibility for admission or need for referrals.
  • Program therapist will work collaboratively as a treatment team member to assist medical director and other staff through participation in treatment team meeting to communicate all pertinent information in order to ensure consistent and appropriate care to patients.
  • The therapist provides professional therapeutic counseling by facilitating individual, family and group therapy sessions.

Position: Unit Assistant

Status: Full-Time

Education: High School Diploma or GED.  Completion of a state approved Monitor Technician course

Skills/Duties:

  • ​Perform cardiac monitoring duties under the supervision of the registered nurse
  • Communicate relevant information appropriately
  • Demonstrate accurate and timely documentation of patient cardiac rhythms
  • Perform clerical duties on unit

Position: Paramedic (2 openings)

Status: Full-Time

​Education: Current Texas DSHS EMT - Paramedic Certification or License.  Current American Heart Association BLS Provider Required.  Current Texas DPS Driver's License (Class C).  Incident Management Systems ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800.

Skills/Duties:

  • Initiates patient treatment and care utilizing initial protocol treatment based on patient condition.  Conducts basic and advanced life support skills.
  • Responsible for safety decisions involving patients and emergency vehicle.
  • Drives emergency vehicle to and from calls to transport patients in a safe and prudent manner using the most efficient route to ensure the quickest response times.
  • Assist in carrying patients by stretcher or other devices to an emergency vehicle and secure patient inside the vehicle choosing the safest means of transport.
  • Observes and keeps records regarding symptoms of patients.
  • Communicates information to other members of the healthcare profession, patients, family members, and other responders as necessary per HIPAA standards.
  • Complies with all current policies and procedures.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in determining the appropriate emergency medical treatment of a patient or a group of patients according to existing protocols and standards.

Shift: PRN Night 7p - 7a Available

Education: RN Licensed with Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners, ACLS and CPR required

  • Demonstrate appropriate assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient's care, as evidenced by patient/Team Member observation and respond appropriately.
  • Exhibit the ability to assess the patient, collect and document the patient's current health status and medical history.
