EDUCATION: LVN - CURRENT LICENSE BY THE STATE BOARD OF NURSING, PHARMACY TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATION REQUIRED WITHIN FIVE (5) MONTHS, AND CURRENT CPR CERTIFICATION

EXPERIENCE: TWO YEARS SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE

SKILLS: CERNER SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT, OMNICELL SUPER USER, ABILITY TO DELEGATE PROJECTS AND WORK RESPONSIBILITIES, ABILITY TO SUCCESSFULLY SUPERVISE DEPARTMENT, EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS, ABILITY TO MAKE QUICK DECISIONS UNDER STRESS.

DUTIES: PREPARES AND PACKAGES MEDICATIONS FOR DISPENSING AND DELIVERY.  ENTERS PATIENT DATA AND MEDICATION ORDERS IN COMPUTER SYSTEM.  ENSURES COMPLIANCE WITH DEA AND ITS COPY OF TRIPLICATE SHEET.  MANAGES EXPIRATIONS OF MEDICATIONS INCLUDING NARCOTICS.  ASSISTS PHARMACIST FILLING PRESCRIPTION ITEMS, TYPES PRESCRIPTION LABELS, PERFORMS NARCOTIC COUNTS, BILLING AND CLINIC AUDITS.  MEDICAL RECORD COMPLIANCE AUDITS, AND INVENTORY MANAGEMENT.  RESPONSIBLE FOR SUPPLY ORDERS PER GPO AND CONTRACTS, PRE-BOOKING FLU VACCINES, STAFF AND MEDICINE COMMITTEE MEETING FACILITATOR, MEMBER OF LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT TEAM, 75% ATTENDANCE AT NURSING MEETINGS, RESPONSIBLE FOR DEPARTMENTAL POLICY AND UPDATES, ABILITY TO MEET DEPARTMENTAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL GOALS.

EDUCATION: HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED EQUIVALENT REQUIRED. MUST HAVE VALID DRIVER LICENSE.

EXPERIENCE: PRIOR EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH SENIOR CITIZENS PREFERRED.

SKILLS: PERSONAL CARE, GOOD VERBAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS, ABILITY TO ANTICIPATE NEEDS OF ELDERLY.

DUTIES: ASSISTS RESIDENTS WITH MEDICATIONS, MEALS, AND WITH ACTIVITIES OF DAILY LIVING WHICH INCLUDES PERSONAL CARE, AND ASSISTING WITH TRANSPORTING RESIDENTS AS NEEDED. ABILITY TO ENCOURAGE RESIDENTS TO MAINTAIN SELF-RESPECT, PERSONAL DIGNITY, AND PERSONAL SAFETY. ABILITY TO FOLLOW POLICY AND PROCEDURES AND RESPOND ACCORDINGLY WHEN AN OCCASIONAL EMERGENCY OCCURS.
