POSITION: DIRECTOR OF EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

STATUS: FULL-TIME

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: BSN MANDATORY.  LICENSED AS REGISTERED NURSE IN TEXAS OR TEXAS COMPACT LICENSE.  CURRENTLY CERTIFIED IN ACLS AND BLS.  THREE YEARS EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT NURSING EXPERIENCE AND/OR MANAGERIAL EXPERIENCE.

SKILLS/DUTIES:

  • PROVIDES DIRECT AND INDIRECT PROVISION OF PROFESSIONAL NURSING CARE OF THE PATIENTS AND ACCOUNTABILITY FOR ALL NURSING AND PERSONNEL FUNCTIONS IN THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

POSITION: RN - EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

POSITION: Facilities Manager
STATUS: Full Time - Exempt
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: BS Degree or Associate Degree with Technical Training.

Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience and responsibility in a Maintenance Field.

2 years supervisory position directing a maintenance staff with facilities management experience
SKILLS/DUTIES: 

  • Provides overall supervision and management of all Sweeny Community Hospital facilities and its Maintenance Department including involvement with replacement hospital

  • Plans, budgets and schedules facility modifications, including cost estimates to align with the Hospital finance metrics.

  • Initiates planned maintenance programs for a variety of office equipment

  • Manages preventive maintenance of facility equipment, including HVAC and office equipment

  • Manages preventive testing and inspection of fire alarm systems and suppression systems

  • Provides technical expertise in all areas of compliance with AHCA, Joint Commission, CMS and other applicable federal and state government regulators

  • Participates in pre-construction and infection control risk assessment review process and ensures completion of any necessary action plans

  • Acts as an active member of the Environment of Care committee and completes any assigned tasks and/or opportunities

POSITION: LVN - INPATIENT

STATUS: PRN

EXPERIENCE: GRADUATE OF AN ACCREDITED SCHOOL OF PROFESSIONAL NURSING.  TEXAS STATE BOARD OF NURSING LVN LICENSE.  CURRENT BLS CERTIFICATION

  • 2 years' experience in an EMS setting - preferred
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification
  • current or obtainable within 6 months of employment: ACLS certification

SKILLS/DUTIES: 

  • Initiates patient treatment and care utilizing initial protocol treatment based on patient condition. 
  • Conducts basic advanced life support skills
  • Responsible for safety decisions involving the patient and emergency vehicle
  • Drives emergency vehicle to and from calls to transport patients in a safe and prudent manner using the most efficient route to ensure the quickest response times
  • Assist in carrying patients by stretcher or other devices to the emergency vehicle and secure them inside the vehicle choosing the safest means of transport
  • Observes and keeps records regarding symptoms of patients
  • Communicates information to other members of the healthcare profession, patients, family members, and other responders as necessary per HIPAA standards

POSITION: PRN Universal Worker

LOCATION:  The Fountains Assisted Living Facility

STATUS: PRN

EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED

EXPERIENCE: Prefer at least one year of experience working with the elderly in a residential setting

SKILLS/DUTIES:

  • Good verbal and writing communication skills. 
  • Ability to assist the resident care attendants, office assistant and housekeeping teams as needed. 
  • Self-starter who can be flexible with job duties as needed, ability to prioritize based on the needs of the residents and facility.

POSITION: General Supervisor/Clinical Laboratory Technologist/Technician

STATUS: PRN

EXPERIENCE: Five years general hospital lab experience preferred; Cerner EHR, a plus

EDUCATION: Degree in medical laboratory technology or with equivalent education.

SKILLS/DUTIES:

  • Properly collect, process and store specimens; evaluate specimen acceptability for testing
  • Technical ability to perform all laboratory tests according to CLIA standards, including blood bank, microbiology
  • Ability to problem-solve for procedural and instrument troubleshooting, method evaluation; establish and/or maintenance of quality assurance and safety programs
  • Compare test results to pre-established criteria and make decisions regarding the validity of test results
  • Demonstrate management and supervisory skills
