We have exciting News!

A new doctor is in town! Dr. Enrique Leal will start seeing patients March 3rd 2008 at the professional office building at Sweeny Hospital. Leal Family Clinic is in suite E and the phone number is 979-647-1265. Dr. Leal also has plans to see patient's one day a week in West Columbia at the Kittie Nash Groce Rehabilitation Center on Dance Street.  Dr. Leal is a native Texan  from Boerne and is relocating from San Augustine Texas.

Sweeny/West Brazos has a new Ambulance

The medics that work for Sweeny Community Hospital EMS are very proud of the latest addition to their fleet of ambulances. The 2008 Frazer Type I on a Ford chassis will be replacing a 1998 ambulance that has over 400,000 miles. The purchase of this new ambulance was made possible with funds from Sweeny Community Hospital's Ladies Auxiliary (pink ladies), Meadows Foundation, Gulf Coast Medical Foundation, and USDA Rural Development Program. 

Sweeny Hospital opens cafeteria to the public.

The public is welcome to come eat at the hospital cafeteria every Monday through Thursday 12:00 noon until 1:30. The menu will be posted here on the web site every week. The meal is a even $5.00 which includes a drink.  This is made possible with the help of the Ladies Auxiliary and the cafeteria staff at the hospital.
